KCR Regime Duping SCs, STs: Bhatti Vikramarka

Congress leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today came down heavily on the Telangana government and alleged that it had cheated the SCs and STs of the state.

"Where the Congress-led state governments had implemented land distribution schemes in undivided Andhra Pradesh, the TRS government under Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is trying to take back the lands that had been allotted by our government. Recently, police personnel had even resorted to beating up the tribals in the Tadwai forest. Seeing the unjust ways of the current regime, I call upon the workers of the Congress to fight for the implementation of the Acts enacted by our party. We will stand by the tribals of the state and will fight for their rights. I will announce an action plan for this after consulting TPCC head A Revanth Reddy," he stated.

The leader also claimed that the party would confront the state government on the issue of the tribals' podu lands from Adilabad to Khammam.

Reiterating that the KCR government was "cheating" the tribals of Telangana, Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that the CM had come up with the Dalit Bandhu scheme to cheat the Dalits as well.

"Where the TRS cheats the public, our party had always come to the rescue of the poor and the needy of AP. We had fulfilled their needs of roti, kapda aur makaan and had also provided lands, houses, education and jobs to the Dalits and tribals of the region. As a mark of our solidarity with the ST community, we will organise a program on the occasion of World Tribals Day on August 9," he claimed.
