Congress Demands Apology From BJP For Remarks On Deepadas Munshi
Congress leaders demanded an unconditional apology from former BJP MLA N V S S Prabhakar for his remarks against AICC Telangana in-charge Deepadas Munshi.
Congress leaders today demanded that former BJP MLA N V S S Prabhakar tender an unconditional apology for making "derogatory" remarks against AICC Telangana in-charge Deepadas Munshi.
In a news channel debate, the BJP leader had alleged that Munshi had received a Mercedes-Benz car as a gift, and that he had evidence.
Condemning the remarks, Congress spokesperson Addanki Dayakar criticised Prabhakar's comments against Munshi, calling them proof of intellectual bankruptcy.
TPCC campaign Committee Chairman Madhu Yashki Goud too slammed the comments, claiming that the BJP was a party that survived on corruption, irregularities and lies, and that Prabhakar was making such despicable comments just to gain publicity in a bid to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"If he doesn't apologise, there will be serious consequences," Goud said.
MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, TPCC vice-president Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, AICC spokesperson Sujata Paul and other Congress leaders also condemned the remarks of the BJP leader.
