AICC Secretary Sampath Kumar on Monday came down heavily on BJP National Working President J P Nadda for his comments against the former's party and the people of the State.
He said that the statement of the saffron party leader reflected the latter's double standards towards the State, and that the people of the state would teach him a befitting lesson.
Alleging that the TRS and the BJP were in cahoots, he pointed out that the TRS had never confronted the BJP, which was in charge at the Centre, to protect the interests of the State, and seemingly returning the favour, the BJP had also never raised the issue of "all the corruption" witnessed in the affairs of the state government over the last five years.
He said that the allegations made by Nadda against the TRS were not new and were being made by several others for a long time. He asked the BJP leaders why they had been keeping mum all these days over the corruption of KCR, especially given that all the anti-corruption institutions were under the control of the Central government.
Targeting KCR, Kumar asked the CM if he was ready to file criminal cases against Nadda and prove that the TRS was indeed not sleeping with the BJP. He said that the State government routinely files cases against ordinary people for comments in the social media against it, and should show that the rules were the same for everyone by filing cases against the BJP leader, too.
