AICC Telangana in-charge and MP Manickam Tagore today alleged that the TRS and the BJP were secret partners.
Speaking to the media, he said that the parties acted like they fought each other in the state, but continued their friendship in Delhi.
To make his point, he referred to the statements of union ministers including Prakash Javadeker that the TRS-led state government was rife with corruption, and asked why the ministers were then not ordering inquiries through their agencies like the CBI, the IT department and the ED.
Tagore said that corruption had however indeed increased in the state in the TRS' rule, and that minister K T Rama Rao and his followers were indulging rampant graft.
He said that just as the BJP was synonymous with Hindutva and religious bigotry, the TRS was now synonymous with corruption.
He also alleged that the TRS was distributing its proceeds from corruption to win elections and legislators in the state.
Referring to the communal statements of Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, he alleged that the saffron party was sticking to its well-known playbook in trying to disrupt the communal harmony in the city.
