Congress leader and former MP Madhu Yashki Goud today alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had done nothing to develop the state in his six-and-a-half-year long reign.
Speaking to the media, Goud also accused the CM and his son IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao of having confined themselves to their farmhouse, and alleged that the Rao family had misused their positions only to gain wealth through illicit means.
"The CM and his family have done nothing to help the people of the state. In fact, they are among the few people who have benefitted in any material way from the bifurcation of AP as they have only used their positions to amass wealth - they even used the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project to pocket hundreds of crores of rupees," he alleged.
Referring to the speculation over the elevation of KTR to the position of CM, he said that the latter too would follow in the steps of his father, the incumbent CM, and "fail" to develop Telangana in any way.
The former MP then lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for also "failing" to work for the people of India.
"The PM, like our CM, has not prioritised the needs of the people of the nation. He has consistently favoured big businesses, and has worked solely to further their interests," he said.
Goud has targeted the KCR regime for its "failure" to develop Telangana before as well. Just last week, the Congress leader had accused the CM of
misleading the youth of the state on the issue of providing employment to them.
