Congress Asks KCR To Attend Secretariat Daily & Discharge Duties
The party said that now that the CM had built a palace-like office for himself, he would come to the place every day at least now and discharge his duties sincerely.
Responding to the inauguration of the new Secretariat building by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today, Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that he hoped that the former, who had never entered the previous Secretariat complex in nine years of ruling the State and had now built a palace-like Secretariat in its place for himself, would come to the place every day at least now and discharge his duties sincerely.
Speaking to media persons after touring Kondagadapa village under Mothkur mandal, Reddy said the Chief Minister, after announcing that the new Secretariat building would be constructed at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore, had spent a whopping Rs 3,000 crore of public money on it.
He also criticised the Chief Minister for "miserably failing" to honour his promises like free double bedroom houses, filling of vacant government posts and allowances to the jobless youth of the State, and instead building a lavish office for himself.
He added that the CM, who had named the new Secretariat building after Dr B R Ambedkar, had miserably failed to follow the ideals of the author of the Constitution.
