Congress, Jagan To Patch Up: Naidu
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the Congress was trying to woo Jagan, and that they were negotiating with each other.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the Congress was trying to woo Jagan.
He charged that senior Congress leaders in New Delhi were communicating with Kadapa MP and YSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, and that the ruling party was trying desperately to patch up with Jagan.
It is a known fact that the Congress High Command considers Jagan a major threat to the stability of its party in the state.
Naidu has reportedly stated that Jagan had refrained from foul-mouthing Sonia Gandhi after the by-elections because he was negotiating with the Congress party.
Reacting to the YSR Congress Party's statements that it was for the TDP to move a no-confidence motion, he opined that since Jagan was a novice he did not realise that he was to move the motion so that the Congress party will be forced to prove its majority on the floor of the house.
Speaking about the activities of the TDP, Chandrababu revealed that the issues of land allotment by the Congress government would be focused upon. He explained that YSR had alloted 12 lakhs acres of land to Special Economic Zones (SEZs), 2 lakhs acres to industrial corridors and 6 lakhs acres for mining activities, which he considered unproductive and unfair to the landless farmers.
