It's not just postponed exams, untouched syllabi and indefinite student strikes, nor is it only about the OU s or the KU s of the land. The tentacles of partition are threatening to affect students' lives in newer and newer ways.
In a highly provocative speech at TRS Bhavan, there was much slamming of private corporate colleges. TRS leader T Harish Rao has named the Narayana and the Sri Chaitanya groups, and has accused them of poisoning students' minds against Telangana, and speaking low of the Telangana region.
He said that even peons and watchmen of these institutions are brought from the Andhra region, and that there is no sign of Telangana employees.
He warned that these institutions wouldn't survive if anyone from the Telangana movement even raised a finger against them. He said that the management of these colleges should change their ways, or else there would be consequences to face.
Rao also said that the process of Telangana has already started. As is the norm with all Telangana agitators, he ridiculed supporters of the Samaikya Andhra movement, saying they all know that statehood for Telangana is inevitable.
He added that if Chiranjeevi or Lagadapati had any courage they should come to OU or Warangal and make their speeches. Rao said that they aren't doing so because they knew that if they raised their voices about Telangana, they would be skinned.
