CM, Top Leaders Unite At Bandaru Dattatreya's Alai Balai Event
The annual event, held at the Exhibition Grounds, saw several prominent political figures meet and bond.

The Alai Balai event, led by Bandaru Vijayalakshmi, daughter of Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, was held at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds today.
The event was inaugurated by Dattatreya himself, and featured vibrant cultural performances like traditional dances, Kolatam and tribal dance forms. The skillful displays by Pothurajus and the unique Hyderabad traditional "marching music" were the highlights of the occasion.
Several prominent political figures, including Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Uttarakhand Governor Gurmit Singh, Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, Telangana ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and D Sridhar Babu, MPs Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, D K Aruna, Raghunandan Rao, Dr K Laxman and Etala Rajendar, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud and Telangana Agriculture Commission Chairman Kodanda Reddy attended the program.
The Alai Balai event of Dattatreya is an annual tradition held the day after Vijayadasami, aimed at bringing leaders from various political parties together. It also showcases Telangana's cultural heritage through a variety of artistic performances.
Venkaiah Naidu praised the ongoing efforts to preserve cultural traditions through this event. He emphasized the importance of unity in society, saying that the concept of unity should extend to family, region, country and the world. Naidu said that festivals were not only about prayers and rituals, but also about people coming together and sharing moments of joy.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted that the main objective of Alai Balai was to spread Telangana's culture far and wide. He also said that Alai Balai was now synonymous with Dattatreya, and appreciated Dattatreya's efforts to protect Telangana's culture irrespective of political affiliations and lauded Vijayalakshmi for carrying forward the legacy of the event.
Union Minister Kishan Reddy said that while criticism among political parties was common, the language used in current times needed improvement. He urged political leaders to be mindful of their words, saying that personal attacks and harsh criticism were harmful. He expressed hope that events like Alai Balai would continue to flourish and bring people together in the future.
