Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Sunday, expressed grief over the death of Dr. V Kurien, who was considered the father of the White Revolution in India.
In a statement issued to the media, the Chief Minister said that Dr. Kurien had made enormous contributions to the fields of agriculture, rural development and dairying.
Dr. Kurien started Operation Flood, the largest dairy development program in the world, besides making the Amul brand a household name.
In another statement, the Chief Minister expressed his grief over the demise of Kodavatiganti Rohini Prasad, who was a noted author and retired scientist of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. He recalled the services of Rohini Prasad in the field of atomic energy towards scientific literature. (INN)
