Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Tuesday, stressed the importance of a platform to resolve land disputes in an amicable manner.
In a press statement following the formal inauguration of the Revenue Sadassu, at Chinna Gottimukala village in Medak district, the Chief Minister reiterated that the government is taking all measures to update land records by computerizing them.
He also admitted to discrepancies in land records since 1954, and said that the government will provide land title deeds to 25 lakh people in the state.
The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to resolving all land disputes in the state with the help of the Revenue Sadassus.
He also assured the Telangana people that the state government is making all efforts to obtain the national project status for the Pranahita-Chevella Project.
To tackle the drinking water problem in various parts of the state, he said, the government will conduct a satellite survey with an amount of Rs. 25 crores.
Further, he said that the government is giving women interest-free loans, and announced that an amount of Rs. 100 crore is being set aside for this purpose.
It was also stated that about 75% of the people have been covered under the Rajiv Arogyasri Health Scheme, and that the government is soon planning to extend the benefits of the scheme to everyone.
He said that the government will spend Rs. 1,000 crore on surgeries to be conducted under the Rajiv Arogyasri scheme.
During the meeting, when some Telangana activists insisted that the CM shout "Jai Telangana" slogans, he obliged, and saying that everyone present in the meeting hails from the region, and that hence, no one is opposed to Telangana. (INN)
