Hyderabad | 13th November 2020
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao conveyed his greetings to the people of the state on the eve of Deepavali on Saturday.

In a message, the CM expressed his desire that every household lighten up with the Karthika diya, and there should be the light of happiness in the eyes of the farmers.

He also expressed hope that this Deepavali would drive away darkness with the light of wisdom.

Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan too extended Deepavali greetings to the people of the state.

"On this joyous occasion of Deepavali, I extend my warmest greetings to the people of Telangana. This festival of lights signifies the victory of righteousness over evil. As our Hon'ble Prime Minister appealed, let us celebrate by buying our festival materials of indigenous manufacturers and bring brightness in their lives during festival. I am sure occasions like this inspire us to conquer the evils of modern day and build a peaceful and harmonious society. I appeal to you all to celebrate the Diwali in a safe manner in view of the Covid-19 conditions duly following the directions with regard to the safety measures (sic)," she said.
