Hoax Call On Bomb In Assembly Building
The Saifabad Police received an anonymous call stating that a bomb has been planted in the Legislative Assembly building. It was declared a hoax after a thorough search of the premises.
The City Police was put on high alert after a hoax call about a bomb planting, and the discovery of detonators elsewhere in the city.
The Saifabad Police received an anonymous call stating that a bomb has been planted in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly building. The local police immediately alerted the security personnel deployed in the Assembly premises asking them to evacuate all the employees. The bomb and dog squad were immediately pressed into service.
However, after a thorough search, the police declared that the call was a hoax.
A few hours later, the city police found a bomb at Mangalhaat near Puranapul. As many as 12 detonators were found under the seat of a parked scooter. A bomb squad, which rushed to the spot, recovered the detonators.
The Saifabad and Mangalhaat police registered separate cases and began an investigation. (INN)
