Students of City College on Saturday set fire to bundles of popular Telugu daily, 'Saakshi', and condemned the media house for hurting the sentiments of Telangana people.
Accusing the media house for broadcasting and writing news without proper background information, the students said that the daily had mentioned the controversial clause in the Presidential order as Clause 17 (F), instead of Clause 14 (F).
The agitating students stated that the daily has 'deliberately' made mistakes time and again which had hurt the sentiments of the Telangana people.
The students warned that if the daily continued to play with the sentiments of the people of Telangana, they would have no recourse left except approaching the State Human Rights Commission for justice.
The protestors demanded that the daily issued an apology for the mistakes.
