CITU Asks Harish Rao To Clarify Stand On RTC strike

The Telangana minister was the Honorary President of the Telangana Mazdoor Union which was participating in the RTC strike, CITU pointed out.
Hyderabad | 10th May 2015
CITU State General Secretary Sai Baba on Sunday demanded that Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao clarify his stand on the ongoing strike by APSRTC employees demanding 43% fitment.

Speaking to media persons at Sundarayya Bhavan in Sangareddy, Sai Baba informed that Harish Rao was the Honorary President of the Telangana Mazdoor Union, which is participating in the RTC strike. Therefore, Rao should clarify whether or not he was supporting the striking workers of the state government, he said.

The CITU leader said that the minister was maintaining silence despite the strike entering its fifth day on Sunday. While in the opposition Harish Rao spoke in favour of workers, after becoming a minister, he was reluctant to even hold negotiations with the union leaders, Baba alleged. (INN)
