Praja Rajyam Party leader Chiranjeevi met Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Saturday, to discuss the plight of students spread across the state. Chiranjeevi said that the general quality of education in the curriculam is a cause of concern, and must be improved. He also said that the fee structure is not the same throughout, and must be re-evaluated. The state of the faculty handling the future of lakhs of students is dismal and must be worked on being improved, he asserted.
Speaking specifically about the cut in IIIT seats, Chiranjeevi opined that the move will considerably affect students from a rural background. He requested the government to come up with sufficient measures to satisfy the demands of aspiring students across the state.
In addition, the PRP leader demanded compensation for farmers who suffered heavy losses due to failed rains earlier in the year.
