Chevella MP and Congress leader Konda Vishweswar Reddy was arrested by the police after they had disrupting the hunger strike he had started at Vikarabad to demand a solution to the "multiple problems" being faced by residents of Ranga Reddy district.
The police reached the dharna spot and arrested the MP who tried to resist them.
Speaking to media persons on the occasion, Reddy said that Ranga Reddy district had been meted out a huge amount of injustice even after statehood for Telangana. He alleged that the district had not received even a single new job opportunity in the last five years. He also alleged that the state government had failed to irrigate even one new acre during the same period.
