The state unit of the Telugu Desam Party condemned the adamant stance of the Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan who said that his government will not allow former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to visit the site of the Babli Irrigation Project.
Talking to INN, TDP Floor Leader in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Singireddy Srinivas Reddy said that Chavan's decision, which came after a high-level meeting, was condemnable.
He said that Chavan had refused to listen to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah when he had appealed to him to allow Naidu and his team to visit the Babli site, and that he was still adamant despite the people of the entire state of Andhra Pradesh turning against the Maharashtra government.
Chavan had told the high-level meeting that his decision has been communicated to Rosaiah.
