Naidu Selling Old Schemes In New Package: Congress
The people have lost faith in Naidu's promises and they will not believe him even if he crawls to prove his conviction, says Congress MLC Mohammad Farooq Hussain.
Congress MLC Mohammad Farooq Hussain on Sunday alleged that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu was trying to sell existing welfare schemes set by the Congress government in a new package.
Speaking to media persons at the MLA Quarters, Farooq Hussain said that Naidu's nine-point programme was nothing but a replica of schemes already in implementation. Scoffing at what he considers as Naidu having lost his memory, he said that several schemes like free power for farmers, pensions for senior citizens, housing for the poor, Arogyasri, 4% reservation for Muslims and other welfare schemes were already being implemented successfully by the Congress party since it came to power in 2004.
He also asked Naidu to clarify whether the announcements of giving a 100 seats to backward classes and other offers for minorities had been approved by the party's politburo or if they were mere figments of his imagination.
Farooq Hussain claimed that people have lost faith in Naidu's promises and they would not believe him even if he walks on his knees or crawls to prove his conviction. (INN)
