Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday launched publiceye.in, an online grievance portal designed by three B. Tech. students from the Guntur district.
Publiceye.in is the brainchild of Alapati Krishna Lavanya Kumar, Guntur Manohar and Peesapati Harish, who informed that the portal provides a platform for people to report, seek and suggest solutions to social issues. They said that it has been designed on lines of the popular social media concept of posting and sharing content.
Users can post their grievances on issues ranging from electricity to agriculture, social security, sewage, water supply, dowry, child labour and corruption. A person can also attach evidence/proof while posting their complaints/issues.
All the posts help visitors to identify issues raised by the people in their locality. This will enable collective participation among locals to address a common issue. A chat facility, similar to Facebook chat, has also been also incorporated.
Publiceye.in enables the local administration to zero-in on / identify issues using pincodes. The medium can thus also be put to use to create awareness among people on initiatives like Swachh Bharat.
Those who do not have access to the Internet can call 08645-275348 to report their complaints.
Lauding the youngsters for their work, the Chief Minister reflected on the need for youngsters to come up with such innovative ideas to ease citizen services in the state. (INN)
