TDP politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, on Tuesday, lashed out at Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's government for arresting party president N Chandrababu Naidu who was on padayatra against the proposed increase in the power tariff and unscheduled power cuts.
In a press statement at the NTR Trust Bhavan, Ramakrishnudu described the police zulum against the protesters as "undemocratic" and tragic.
Yanamala criticized the government, and stated that it was resorting to arrests to muffle the outcry against the government's inefficiency and its failure to tackle the crisis. (INN)
