Centre To Call CMs' Meet On HC Split In 2 Days
The Centre has decided to act quickly in the wake of the escalating agitation in Telangana by judicial officials for a speedy bifurcation of the HC.

In the wake of the escalating agitation in Telangana by judicial officials seeking a speedy bifurcation of the Hyderabad High Court and "justice" in allocation of posts, the Centre has decided to call a meeting to find an amicable solution to the impending problem.
In a couple of days or so, if not on Monday itself, the Centre will call a meeting of the CMs of the two Telugu States to discuss the bifurcation of the High Court across he table.
The Centre has reportedly shifted the venue of the meeting from Hyderabad to Delhi as the Governor of the two states E S L Narasimhan has suggested it.
Union Law Minister Sadananda Gowda is to chair the crucial meeting, with Narasimhan, K Chandrashekar Rao and Chandrababu Naidu taking part in it.
The Centre is understood to have come to a decision at the behest of Chief Justice of India T S Thakur to focus on the issue, and has also spoken to Hyderabad High Court Chief Justice Dilip Bhosale.
It is pertinent to note that KCR wrote to the Centre for its intervention, and also met Narasimhan. Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya also sought a speedy decision on the High Court bifurcation. The Governor, too, spoke to Bhosale and the Advocate General and pushed the Centre for an urgent meeting of the two CMs. Chandarababu Naidu also said in Delhi that he was not averse to the HC bifurcation, and allotted land at Amaravathi, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, for the purpose.
