A special CBI court on Tuesday allowed the plea of YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, to visit Kolkata and Lucknow, to mobilise the support of parties like Trinamool Congress and Samajwadi Party against the bifurcation of AP.
The court permitted the YSRCP chief, who had earlier requested that he be allowed to visit Kolkata to meet West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday, and Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav on November 21.
The court which had, on Monday, dismissed Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's plea, seeking further relaxation on his bail conditions, has now given him permission to visit the two states.
Jagan, who was arrested in May last year, got bail in relation to the Disproportionate Assets case on September 23 this year, and the court had asked the MP not to leave the state capital without its permission.
However, the court, on October 30, allowed his plea for relaxing the bail conditions, to enable him to visit different parts of AP and the national capital, New Delhi.
