CBI Court Denies Bail To Jagan

The CBI court rejected his bail petition, on the grounds that he might tamper with the evidence if he is set free.

The CBI court, on Friday, denied bail to YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. Jagan is in Chanchalguda Jail, following his arrest by the CBI in the case of his allegedly disproportionate assets.

The CBI court rejected his bail petition, on the grounds that he might tamper with the evidence if he is set free.

Jagan had, earlier, sought interim bail, pleading that he wants to campaign for his party in the by-elections.

Jagan will now stay in jail till 11 June, as directed by the court.
