The special CBI court on Friday adjourned the hearing in the cases filed against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to February 7 as the latter failed to appear before the court although he was asked to do so.
The counsel for the AP CM said that they had brought the issue of the filing of a petition in the AP High Court challenging the order of the CBI court dismissing his petition for getting exemption from personal appearance before the court, to the notice of the court, resulting in the adjournment.
Meanwhile, the other accused in the case including Ayodhya Rami Reddy, Indu Group's Shyam Prasad Reddy, retired IAS officers M Samuel, Manmohan Singh and Rajagopal, and former BCCI president N Srinivasan appeared before the court.
