Case Against Ponnam Prabhakar
Ponnam allegedly called Rajahmudry MP Undavalli the "Peddapuram prostitute", which statement the Seemandhra Women's JAC members say has caused hurt to their sensibilities.
The Seemandhra Students JAC will be lodging a case on Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar on behalf of the womens' wing of the Seemandhra JAC. Ponnam allegedly called Rajahmudry MP Undavalli Arun Kumar the "Peddapuram prostitute", which statement the Seemandhra Women's JAC members say has caused hurt to their sensibilities.
In a statement to the press, the Karimnagar MP had said, "Undavalli compared us [Telangana activists] to the Razakars chief Qasim Razvi. It is our responsibility, when he says one thing 40 years ago and another now, to compare him to a Peddapuram vaishya."
Members of the Seemandhra Students JAC, who are lodging a complaint against Undavalli at the Visakha police station, say that they have full faith that law will take care of a man who "made statements more offensive than those of Akbaruddin Owaisi, against all of Seemandhra's women."
If the police don't accept their FIR, they say that they will take the case to a higher court, and will not stop until they achieve their goal.
