Even as Telangana ministers raise the heat in the Centre over bifurcation of the state of Andhra Pradesh, Congress leader Vasantha Nageswara Rao has now made vocal a demand for a separate state of Andhra, a demand that he says began in 1972.
In Delhi, he told the media that he was in the capital for the past few days trying to request the Centre as well as the Congress Core Committee to consider the creation of the separate state.
Vasantha Nageswara Rao is the chairman of APCOB (Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Ltd.).
