By-Elections for Tirupati Assembly Seat On Feb 13

The by-elections for the Tirupati seat got necessitated due to the death of the sitting MLA M Venakataramana of the TDP on December 15.

The Election Commission of India on Monday announced the schedule for the by-election for the Tirupati assembly constituency in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.

The notification for the by-polls will be issued on January 19, and the last date for the filing of nomination will be January 27. The nominations will be scrutinised on January 28, and the last date for withdrawal of candidature will be January 30.

The polling will be on February 13, and the counting of votes will take place on February 16.
