The party was protesting the union government's "malicious misinformation campaign" against the KCR government claiming diversion of MGNREGS funds in Telangana.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) staged protests at all district headquarters across Telangana on Friday against the union government's "malicious misinformation campaign" against the KCR government claiming diversion of MGNREGS funds in Telangana.
Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, other elected representatives and party activists in large numbers took part in the protest programs in their respective districts, and raised slogans against the BJP government at the Centre for "showing discrimination against Telangana".
The protests were organised following a call by BRS working president K T Rama Rao to the party cadre after the union government served notice to the State government asking it to return Rs 152 crore spent by the latter under the MGNREGS for construction of crop drying platforms.
