The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) was getting an overwhelming response from the people of Maharashtra, and the people of that State strongly desired the Telangana model of development in their State, too, said Telangana Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali.
Some elected representatives of various villages of Yavatmal district of Maharashtra came to the residence of Mahmood Ali at Banjara Hills today and joined the BRS in his presence.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said that the people of Maharashtra were closely observing the unprecedented development of Telangana under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and had realised that their State too would be developed like that only if the BRS came to power there, too.
"The people of Maharashtra are facing many problems under the current regime. The BRS is committed to resolving all issues related to the State, under the leadership of KCR. The BRS will develop Maharashtra on the lines of Telangana once it comes to power," Mahmood Ali said.
