Thorrur Mandal is in the thick of tension right now as it has been over 22 hours that a 3-year-old toddler fell into a 35-feet deep borewell there.
At around 5pm in the Chandrutanta hamlet in Pollepally village in Thorrur in Warangal district, Darawath Mahesh fell into the borewell while playing with his siblings. The borewell was dug by his father and left uncovered.
The Thorrur CI with 2 bulldozers arrived, as did a 108 ambulance, a fire engine, and revenue officials. A parallel pit began to be dug but the child’s cries weren’t heard. Pipe was lowered to supply water to the kid, and as it grew dark, rescue efforts were being hampered.
Digging is still on, though the child hasn’t been rescued yet.
