Telangana BJP head Bandi Sanjay Kumar today claimed that his party would win in the upcoming Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly by-election, necessitated by the
death of sitting MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah, by defeating its rivals the TRS and the Congress.
He alleged that the TRS-led state government had postponed the Warangal and Khammam corporation elections as it was scared of losing to the saffron party, and made it clear that the party would not let the issue go unaddressed.
Referring to the problems being faced by the ST community in the state, Kumar then claimed that the party's workers were even ready to face the blows of the police in order to find a solution to the issues being faced by the STs of the state.
The BJP chief also expressed his disapproval for the recently released Pay Revision Commission (PRC) report, and condemned its proposal to implement a 7.5% wage increase for the state's government employees.
"The PRC is just Chief Minister K Chandrashekar's latest drama. It is a shame that the CM has no concern for the employees of the state," he said.
Meanwhile, an internal feud within the party ahead of the upcoming elections in the state, left the BJP leadership worried.
The leaders of the BJP in the Peddapalli district and former MLA Somarapu Satyanarayana clashed over some internal party issues. This prompted the former MLA to write a letter to the party high command.
In his letter, he alleged that some local leaders were holding meetings without his knowledge, and were excluding him from party works.
Satyanarayana reportedly said that he would resign from the party if the issue was not resolved.
