Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday alleged that more than 2,500 files were pending clearance in the Chief Minister's Office.
Speaking to media persons at the State BJP office, Kishan Reddy said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had given the least priority to the files pending in his office for clearances.
The files were related to different developmental works.
Reddy said that KCR had not cleared a single file related to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
While former Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy cleared 50-70% of the CMRF files, his successor K Rosaiah had cleared nearly 30% of those files. However, N Kiran Kumar Reddy did not clear any CMRF files. And following in his footsteps, KCR too was keeping the CMRF files pending, Reddy said causticly.
The BJP leader alleged that power supply had been disconnected for as many as 42 Primary Health Centres in the city for non-payment of power bills. As a related example, the power bill of the SC Girls Hostel in Amberpet had not been paid since several months, too, he said, adding that he had used his influence several times to restore power supply to the hostel.
Kishan Reddy also alleged that the State-owned SC, ST and minorities finance corporations were not in a position to provide the margin money to the youth who had been sanctioned loans.
He said that the ministers of the previous Congress regime had also issued sanction letters to several youth, but the banks had refused them loans as the corporations were unable to give them the margin money.
The BJP MLA advised KCR to make his stand clear on the waiver of farm loans, fee reimbursements, Arogyasri and other schemes.
Instead of making people wait for an endless period, the Chief Minister should clearly announce that he was not in a position to implement his promises, he said.
He said that the fake assurances by the Chief Minister were driving many farmers to suicide.
Kishan Reddy also criticised the Chief Minister for his silence on the proposal for the official celebration of Hyderabad Liberation Day.
He said that the people of Telangana wanted the occasion to be celebrated on a grand scale as it was done in Karnataka and Maharashtra which were parts of the erstwhile Hyderabad State.
He said that it appeared that it was not the TRS but the MIM ruling the State. (INN)
