There seems to be strong competition between BJP leaders Raja Singh and Etala Rajender for the post of the BJP State president.
They are verbally albeit indirectly attacking each other to win the post.
In a fresh development, Etala gave a strong counter to the recent comments made by the Goshamahal MLA.
Singh had recently said that the post of the State party president should be allotted to a person who was aggressive.
Reacting to those comments, Etala asked the party high command whether it wanted a street fighter or a real fighter as the party president.
He also said that he had fought with five Chief Ministers in his political career, and that the party needed a daring leader who could go to any extent for its victory.
Singh had recently released a video explaining what kind of person should be chosen as the State party president. In the video, he said that seniors should be given the post.
"A person who is aware of the country and religion should be given the post of the president," he said.
Etala had earlier said that a decision should be taken only after the party high command took the opinion of the eight MLAs and eight MPs of the party in the State.
He said the party was not just about winning MP and MLA seats, and that it would be able to win only if the new leaders and new workers worked hard for its victory.
