Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy on Thursday demanded a high-level probe into the controversy over the Hyderabad Metro Rail project.
Addressing a press conference at the State BJP office, Reddy said that the Metro Rail issue was not restricted to the State government and L&T. He said the project was connected with the people of Telangana, and they had a right to know about the ongoing differences between L&T and the State government.
He said that any further delays due to the ongoing controversy would cause inconvenience to the people of Hyderabad who had been facing traffic woes for the last several months due to the Metro Rail works.
He ridiculed Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's claim of turning Telangana into Singapore, and said that the TRS government was causing damage to the existing infrastructure in the State's capital.
Meanwhile, BJP floor leader Dr L Lakshman demanded a White Paper on the communications that took place between the L&T management and the TRS government.
He also demanded that the government convene an Assembly session immediately to discuss the issue.
He said that KCR's actions were badly hurting the image of Brand Hyderabad. (INN)
