BJP National Executive Member N Indrasena Reddy accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of ignoring the welfare of the common people in Telangana.
Addressing a press conference, Reddy said that the Chief Minister had been finding new ways to divert the people's attention from his failures.
He criticised the government for seeking fresh applications for food security cards and pension schemes.
"What did the government do with the data it collected through Intensive Household Survey (IHS)?" he asked, adding that common people were being subjected to unnecessary hardship by the government.
Reddy said that instead of concentrating on welfare, the Chief Minister was wasting money on surveys and other initiatives.
He also described the Chief Minister's recent visit to Delhi as a "total waste", and asked him to explain what he had achieved by visiting the national capital. (INN)
