Giving a call to the people of the state to unite for the cause of the protection of Telangana and join his new Telangana Bachao Mission, BJP senior leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy said that his main aim was to safeguard the interests of Telangana.
Reddy opened a Telangana Bachao Mission office at Basheerbagh on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Telangana Bachao Mission would fight for the implementation of the KG-to-PG Free Education scheme, and focus on the drought conditions and the farmers' suicides issue. All the way, the Mission would fight against the "anti-people" policies of the TRS government, he claimed.
He also launched a tirade against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He demanded that the CM withdraw his cheap liquor idea immediately. He asked the Chief Minister if people would not be affected by consuming cheap liquor.
He also asked the Chief Minister, who was mulling demolishing old buildings to construct new buildings for hospitals and other purposes, why he was not taking note of the farmers' suicides instead, which was a much more serious issue.
Reddy also wanted to know whether the Chief Minister getting members of other political parties to join the TRS was not undemocratic. He also alleged that the ministers had become dummies in the KCR government.
The BJP leader charged the TRS government with wasting public money, adding as an example how the CM changed his convoy of cars three times.
He said that KCR's biggest achievement was making the surplus state a poor state.
