Bhu Bharathi To Be Implemented In 28 Mandals From May 5
The Telangana government will roll out the second phase of the Bhu Bharathi Act in 28 mandals starting May 5, selecting one mandal per district for a pilot project.
The Telangana government will roll out the second phase of the Bhu Bharathi Act in 28 mandals starting May 5, selecting one mandal per district for a pilot project.
The first phase of the pilot was rolled out between April 17 and 30 in four mandals of four other districts, which means all districts except Hyderabad have been covered for the pilot (the State has 33 districts).
In a statement issued on Sunday, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that revenue meetings would be held in the 28 mandals from May 5 to May 20, similar to the meetings conducted in the four mandals from April 17 to 30.
He said that the primary objective of these revenue meetings was to raise awareness among the public and to collect applications related to land issues in the designated mandals for timely resolution.
Reddy also said that every district Collector needed to attend these meetings to address the farmers' concerns in a clear and accessible manner. He added that Collectors should ensure effective implementation of the Act, which had been carefully designed to offer a long-term solution to the land-related challenges faced by farmers at the grassroots level.
