Police Constable Commits Suicide

A constable from the Bhavaninagar police station allegedly committed suicide on Monday, by hanging himself at his residence, within the Chilkalguda police station limits.

According to Sub-Inspector M Laxma Reddy, the constable (PC No. 6041) was identified as B Jagdish (30), a resident of Chilkalguda.

The police reported that Jagdish was found hanging at his residence early in the morning, and that a brief suicide note was found in the room.

"I am fed up with my life, so I have decided to take this extreme step," it said.

Police sources revealed that the constable had recently gotten engaged, and would have got married by the next month, the sources said.

The Chilkalguda police registered a case and handed Jagdish's body to his family after a post-mortem. Further investigations are on, and foul play has been ruled out. (INN)
