A criminal court at Nampally, on Friday, extended the judicial remand of M Bhanu Kiran, the prime accused in the murder case of Maddelacheru Suri, to 13 June.
The court took this decision when officials produced Bhanu Kiran before the court, following the expiry of his custody.
On the court's directions, the police officials shifted Bhanu Kiran to Cherlapally Central Prison.
Meanwhile, the court also extended the judicial custody of Mangala Krishna till 6 June. He was arrested by the CID for allegedly supplying firearms to Bhanu Kiran.
Mangala Krishna, too, was later, shifted to Cherlapally Central Prison, on the court's directions. (INN)
