Telangana TDP senior leader Mothkupally Narsimhulu made a remarkable statement today that the TDP was born as an alternative to and to decimate the Congress, and there was no chance that it would enter an alliance with the Congress in the 2019 elections.
Mothkupally, who criticizes the TRS severely, also shocked everyone saying that there was a chance that the TDP might enter an alliance with the TRS or the BJP for the 2019 elections.
This assumes importance since the party's main leaders in Telangana have been talking aloud about having truck with the Congress. Mothkupally, a senior leader who was in the race to be a Governor until last week, said that any talks and efforts to pair up with the Congress do not have the blessings of Chandrababu Naidu.
He said that the two Telugu states would benefit if Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao entered an alliance for the 2019 elections.
Mothkupally's statement has become a major talk of discussion in the political circles - not just those of the Telangana TDP, but leaders of all political parties are analyzing his words. In a situation where Telangana TDP president L Ramana and working president A Revanth Reddy are waging a bruising fight against the TRS government, his words are capable of divisions in the TDP.
