Tollywood actor Balakrishna on Wednesday gave indications that he might contest in the next assembly election from a seat in the Krishna district.
Talking to reporters after performing the Vinayaka Chaturthi pooja at Basvatarakarama Cancer Hospital, Balakrishna said that he would work hard to strengthen the party across the State, especially in the Krishna district. He welcomed the entry of former MLA R Venkateshwar Rao into the TDP and hoped that he would contribute to strengthening the district.
Stating that he was ready to contest the next elections, Balakrishna said that the final decision about his fate in electoral politics would be decided by TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu. He said that he would contest from any seat that the TDP leaders decide. He expressed confidence that the TDP would come to power in the next elections. (INN)
