Attacks Against Dalits, Tribals On The Rise: CPI
CPI State Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said that attacks against tribals and other minorities were increasing day after day ever since Narendra Modi assumed office at the PMO.
In reference to the "cow vigilantism" going on in Telangana and the rest of the nation, CPI State Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said that attacks against tribals and other minorities were increasing day after day ever since Narendra Modi assumed office at the PMO.
Alleging that the Telangana government and the Centre were deceiving dalits and tribals
Two meetings were held at the CPI State office on Friday, participating in which, Reddy alleged that the KCR government was terrorizing tribals in the name of the Forest Rights act.
Referring to the SC, ST sub-plan, he pointed out that not a single unemployed youth of the SC/ST communities was approved any loans under the self-employment scheme.
Speaking at the meetings, DHPS national convener and former MLA Gunda Mallesh weighed in and said that poor students in the State were distancing themselves from the dreams of higher education as scholarships and fees reimbursement arrears were not being released.
He called upon the dalits and the tribal people in the State to wage a movement against the government and add heft to their demands.
