Giving major relief to YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, the CBI Court at Nampally on Wednesday relaxed the bail conditions enabling him to tour Andhra Pradesh, and also to visit Delhi.
The CBI Court took the decision after hearing a petition filed by Jaganmohan Reddy on October 11, seeking permission to relax the bail conditions.
In a memo filed before the court, Jagan sought relaxations in bail conditions that prevented him from leaving Hyderabad without the court's permission.
Stating that he leads a political party and that he represents the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat in Parliament, he requested the court to give relaxation in bail conditions.
He sought the court's permission to tour Andhra Pradesh besides visiting New Delhi.
Jagan, who was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the Disproportionate Assets case, was granted a conditional bail by the CBI Court on September 23, almost 16 months after his arrest. (INN)
