» Assembly Prorogued: No-Confidence Motion To Wait 6 Months
Trust Vote To Wait 6 Months At Least
Drawing an irrevocable end to the TDP's demand for discussing the no-confidence motion, the Governor issued an official statement proroguing the Assembly.
Drawing an irrevocable end to the Telugu Desam Party's (TDP) demand for discussing the no-confidence motion, Governor E S L Narasimhan on Tuesday evening issued an official statement proroguing the Assembly.
With this, the TDP has no option but to wait for at least 6 months before the no-confidence motion moved can be discussed.
The Congress states that the Assembly was being prorogued at such a short notice to be able to address the issues concerning farmers as the Kharif season had already begun.
Addressing the media, a TDP leader condemned this action of the Governor, and stated that the Speaker is answerable for this turn of events.
The TDP member lashed out at Nadendla Manohar for having stated that the no-confidence notice served was yet to reach him, and for the proroguing the Assembly without discussing the trust vote.
