Devotees of Puttaparthi Sathya Sai Baba took out a rally from the Puttaparthi Hanuman temple to Prashanti Nilayam, and staged a dharna at Prashanti Nilayam, to protest against the rampant corruption evident in the Sathya Sai Trust.
Protestors are demanding that the Trust be completely dissolved, and that the government take over the trust and manage it like the TTD, with IAS officers appointed to oversee its operations. Some are even demanding the arrest of Trust members.
"Members of the Trust are shamelessly lying and stealing money from the Trust coffers. They must be arrested for offending millions of Sathya Sai devotees and their faith in the Baba," angry devotees said.
Meanwhile, officials of the Trust have condemned the protests, saying that they are violating the sanctity of the sacred pilgrimage centre. An official has said that no one should conduct dharnas of any sort in and around Prashanti Nilayam, or even in Puttaparthi, for that matter.

Corruption and incompetency, the true colours of trust members are showing up, leaving the trust with scars and a black face, hardly to be erased from its history books! Looks like they have been waiting for this time to quench their thirst, brewing in their minds for long! The future is looking for solution, some coming from the Government, none satisfying! Parameters, scam less and Spirituality can be achieved only by a truly spiritual Organization, not by the worldly minded or corrupt Governments, nor under a family banner, catering family greed, leading from frying pan to the fire! Good option would be an Organization like Ramakrishna Math! Such a move would be looked upon in the right spirit by spiritual seekers the world over, being insulated from the corrupt, money and power minded! It would be prudent to transfer the case to SC and CBI, eliminating possible regional and political influences.
