The state government has accorded permission for APTRANSCO and 4 DISCOMs for taking up recruitment of 6,263 posts in their departments.
According to the Energy Department's Principal Secretary Dinesh Kumar, power utilities have taken a decision to recruit for several posts in various cadres, to create employment opportunities for the youth and to relieve the excessive burden on existing employees due to the increasing work-load.
The CMDs of APTRANSCO & DISCOMs - Ajay Jain, Anantha Ramu, Ahmed Nadeem, Ch Narsimha Reddy, K Vidya Sagar Reddy - and the JMD (HRD) / APTRANSCO K Ranganatham said during the teleconference that power utilities are planning to issue a notification for recruiting for posts which have fallen vacant in initial cadres that include Junior Line Man (JLM), Junior Assistant (LDC cum computer operator), Sub-Engineer and Assistant Engineer.
The notification in this regard will be placed on the website www.aptransco.gov.in, by 15 December.
The Principal Secretary directed officials that foolproof arrangements will have to be made for recruiting for the vacant posts, with total transparency, and giving no scope for malpractices.
He also suggested that CMDs make the HRD wings of respective utilities responsible for the process. (INN)
