Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Sunday asked the officials of the state government to set up coronavirus testing labs in all the districts of the state.
He said that the establishment of testing labs in all the districts had become a necessity due to the gradual increase in the total number of coronavirus cases.
He issued these directions while holding high level review meeting on the issue with the officials of the state government at his Tadepally-based camp office.
The Chief Secretary of the state Neelam Sawhney, DGP Gautam Sawang, Special Chief Secretary of the Medical and Health Department K Jawahar Reddy and others took part in the review meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagan asked the officials to test all those who had returned from Delhi after attending the religious congregation, and all their primary contacts. He also asked the officials to treat all the people who visited hospitals with coronavirus-related symptoms as suspects and extend proper treatment to them.
He also wanted the officials to continue the door-to-door survey being held across the state.
