Minister for Secondary Education K Parthasaradhi released the 2011 intermediate 2nd year results earlier this morning.
An overall pass percentage of 63.27 was recorded in the state.
As has been the norm for several years now, the girls in the state out-performed their male counterparts by recording a pass percentage of 66.39. 60.61% of the boys passed the examinations.
Krishna district stands first with a pass percentage of 76, while Nalgonda comes in last with only 49% of its students having passed the inter exams.
Chittoor, Rangareddy and Nizamabad districts share the 2nd position, with 72% of the students in each of these districts passing their inter exams.
The pass percentage of Hyderabad is 59.
Overall, 1,90,271 students secured an 'A', while 1,52,364 secured a 'B'. Grades 'C' and 'D' were attained by 77,674 and 27,969 students respectively.
Each grade corresponds to a range of marks:
A - above 75% B - between 60% and 75% C - between 50% and 60% D - between 35% and 60%
It has been announced that the students will receive their marks memos from their colleges on May 2nd.
Also, May 5th has been declared as the last date for students to clear any and all fees due in their colleges.
