Gas Pipeline Blast: Prez, PM Condole Loss Of Lives

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of lives in the fire caused by a GAIL pipeline blast in Andhra Pradesh on Friday.
He has spoken to the Petroleum Minister, the Cabinet Secretary and the GAIL Chairman, and asked them to ensure immediate relief at the accident site.
"My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives in the GAIL pipeline fire in AP. And prayers with the injured. ?I have spoken to the Petroleum Minister, Cabinet Secretary & GAIL Chairman and asked them to ensure immediate relief at the accident site," Modi said.
Meanwhile, President of India Pranab Mukherjee has also condoled the loss of lives in the blast. In his message to Governor E S L Narasimhan, the President has said, "I am extremely saddened to learn about the explosion of a GAIL gas pipeline in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh in which some persons have lost their lives and many others have been injured."
"I am sure that the State government and other agencies are taking the necessary steps to provide urgent medical assistance to the injured, and all possible aid to the bereaved families who have lost their near and dear ones. Please convey my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. I wish speedy recovery of the injured persons," the President said. (INN)
